New York’s largest pet store is reporting that it will sell dogs for as little as $100 each for $5 each.
The New York Post reports that owners can find dogs for between $5 and $10 each at the Money Pit Pet Supply in East Elmhurst, Queens, for about $10 apiece.
The store, located at 1411 E. 60th St., will offer puppies up to $5 per pound, cats $1.75 per pound and retrievers $3 per pound.
It’s the second dog-selling location for the Money Pot Pet Supply chain after the chain opened in March in San Francisco.
Owners of the chain, which has about 3,500 dogs in the Bronx, are given a one-time registration fee and an option to purchase a dog from a pet-sitter at a discount.
They can also pick up a dog for free at the pet-shopping center in the Queens borough of Manhattan.
The chain also sells cats for $10 to $30 apiece.
